Pokemon Yellow Review
Intro
The first ever Pokemon where you actually play as Ash (well kind of), and the ability to walk with Pikachu.
Story
You start out in Pallet town, briskly walking north of your town soon discovering that Professor Oak had caught you a Pikachu to start out with. Your rival soon shows up and wants to have battle, afterwords you head out around the region of Kanto, battling, traning and saving character's from the strom of Team Rocket. There is no wifi features in the game except for the wired cable that allows you to trade your Pokemon with one another. Another fearture that I really like in the game was that you can have all the starter's in the first generation as well as walking with Pikachu and seeing familiar faces from the anime.
Gameplay
As in most Pokemon games your job is to fight the eight gym leader's in the region of Kanto, followed by defeating the Elite 4, and defeating Giovanni's crew of villian's known as Team Rocket.
Graphic's and Appearance
The game is displayed in a 2-D format, with pixel character's and array of pixel-displayed towns, and cities as well as caves, sea's, and bridges. To be honest, Yellow was actually quite more artistic than Pokemon Green, Blue and Red, I don't really know why that is but it is what it is. In my opinion, I think no one can complain about the graphic's back in the day becuase of the lack of knowledge that game developer's had or the slow growth of new technology.
Overall
- Gameplay: 10/10
- Story:9/10
- Graphic's and Appearance: 5/10
- Overall: 8/10
