Chapter 9
The chapter starts out with a saying that says, "Not far from Cerulean city...." and displays Bill who accidently get stuck in some kind of machine with him on one side and a Rattata on the other. Another scene pops up with Red walking around routes 24, and 25. Red then encounters and awkward Rattata dragging some sort of log. Red comes closer to the Rattata only to find that it's actually talking. Astonished as Red is, the Rattata (who is actually Bill) tells Red that he may be a mutated Rattata, but he was actually a human. Suddenly out of nowhere, a wild Fearow appears snatching bill up from the ground. Red then sends out his Bulbasuar to attack the wild Fearow with Razor Leaf. Bill then tells Red that if you want to stop the wild Fearow you must paralyze its wings. Red then commands his Poliwhirl to use Icebeam while then commanding his Pikachu to use thunder wave, only to find that they are attacking Bill instead of the Fearow. Afterwards, Pikachu jumps into the air attacking the Fearow with a powerful thundershock sending the Fearow slamming into the ground. The Fearow fainted for a few seconds, but quickly got back up to attack Red's Poliwhirl with Drill peck. The Fearow stabs the Poliwhirl in the stomach only to find that is was a decoy and it had turned into mist. The Fearow's beak was later frozen by ice. Afterwards, Red takes Bill back to his home north of Cerulean city and turns himself back to his human form. Bill then proclaims that his machine still needs more tweaking. Later taking one of Reds Pokeballs, thinking that he had a heavy load of them. Bill grabs the Fearow and throws it into the air with astonishment. Red chuckles, the manga then switches to a scene where Red leaves Bill heading near an area with a huge ship, supposedly to be the S.S Anne. End of Chapter.
